I wanted to go back in time,
Back to the younger days.
The ones I thought were simpler.
Back to a time when happiness came easily.
When I had less to worry about.
But upon further reflection,
I couldn’t help but wonder,
Whether I was really happy.
Or was it all a facade?
I had been naive and ignorant.
I had no semblance of an idea as to who I was.
Maybe I was happier in the present.
